Our friends family the Massey’s are here. Ahh its been a fun 5 days! We have 3 babies in the house, well 5 including the big boys. ;) This is the first time Kayden and Selah have been in the mix of our family get togethers. Phase 10 games have gone unfinished and for the first 3 days we had one kid asleep at a time…we couldn’t get it together, but we are doing better now. ;)

We took everyone to the pool, which was really fun! It was Selah’s first time swimming. I was worried about so many things (babies bring out the neurotic side of me). I didn’t want it to be too hot. I didn’t want her to get overheated. I didn’t want the sun to touch her. I didn’t want water to get in her eyes. I didn’t want water to get in her mouth. I didn’t want her to slip out of my hands. She loved it!! She was so relaxed. Within 5 minutes of me holding her in the water she was asleep. It was really cute. ;) and I relaxed too.

We started letting Selah nap in the co-sleeper upstairs so the boys could roam around downstairs. We set up the video monitor and it works out great. Carly and I went to the movies yesterday and left all the kiddies with the big boys. We saw Ramona and Beezus, it was really cute! I’m trying to leave Selah more, to get her and I used to the major slap in the face come August 11. We also put her in the nursery this week also. I tried really hard not to go check on her but was thinking about her constantly. About 30 minutes into the service, Tron leaned over and said, “I can’t stop thinking about Selah.” I said, “Me too, screw it, I’m going to go check on her.” She was fine. She was even asleep when we picked her up. We sure missed her though. Through all of this trying to leave her, letting her nap in the other room, leaving her with Daddy, I’ve learned one thing.

I don’t like it.

She has been sleeping so well at night. We had her sleeping on the couch and we’d fall asleep too. About 2am we’d move upstairs and she’d wake up and I’d feed her. So I thought hmm…maybe if I started her up there and didn’t move her maybe she won’t wake up. (duh!) The first night she slept from 8:45-4:30, not bad!! After I fed her she went right back to sleep and slept until 8. The second night she went to sleep about 9:30, and woke up about 7:00am…I couldn’t believe it!! I was so proud of her. I leaned over her co-sleeper and was greeted by lots of smiles.

She is the most bestest baby in the whole wide world.

and I told her that too.
